There's been an issue that's been on my case lately and I just can't let it go: Kids saying that their parents don't understand them or the situation they're in and start blaming them for not getting the picture.
I think that's a bunch of sissy BS. Those kinds of kids don't have the right to say that to their parents, you know why? They were once their age and have gone through the same thing. That's why they're trying to make life easier for their kids, but it's the kids' choice for being so stubborn and not accepting the fact that their parents can't help them and saying that they'll never understand what it's like to be in their shoes. REALITY CHECK: they can and will, if you just give them a chance. Believe in your parents. Especially in these tough times with the economy, it's been pretty hard on the adults' parts for at least giving these kids food and shelter.
It's all about communication. Having a relationship with your parents is the best thing to have when it comes to family. They're the ones who gave you life and gave you a chance to prove yourself in this world. Don't think you're alone.
